With Leicester City and Chelsea being some way apart when it comes to agreeing a price for the international midfielder, Danny Drinkwater, are they set to turn their attentions elsewhere?

The media source, Talksport has picked up on something reported by Gazzetta dello Sport relating to a Juventus midfielder.

Our sources are reporting that Claudio Marchisio has decided that now is the time to leave Juventus.

The news, suggests our source has put Chelsea on red alert with it being reported that Chelsea have been tracking the player all summer.

Marchisio, now 31-years-of-age has been with Juventus all his career, graduating to the first team from the club`s academy.

The wish to leave Turin appears to have come about after the player felt he was no longer a key part of the Juventus manager, Massiiliano Allegri`s plans.

Whether, at 31-years-of-age, he`ll be deemed too old to be a transfer target, with his sell-on value diminishing, remains to be seen.
