Chelsea Legend Starting To Become Spoilt For Choice

|

Earlier this week, we reported on how Frank Lampard was being linked with the vacant managerial role at Ipswich Town.

Our article, Click Here, reported how our leading all-time scorer had been interviewed on two occasions.

Today though, it appears that another Championship club is looking at acquiring the services of Frank as their manager.

According to the news source, the Sun, Derby County see Lampard as the ideal replacement for the departed Gary Rowett who left Pride Park to join Stoke City.

But, whilst we championed the suggestion that Portman Road would be the ideal place to start a managerial role, with the Suffolk club renowned for giving their managers time, it might not be so easy for Frank if he chooses the Derby County option.

Our referenced source is reporting that one of the conditions at Derby is to cut the wage bill whilst also having no money available for new players.

To us that sounds like a poisoned chalice, choose Ipswich Frank, it makes sense.
