Chelsea Linked With Acquisition Of Argentine Sensation Lionel Messi

I believe that Chelsea Football Club have had a more than decent transfer window.

Already we have bolstered the ranks by bringing in some class players and there is speculation that, in the next few days, there are more who will put pen-to-paper on deals.

But could the biggest deal be yet to come?

The big news, this morning, as confirmed by The BBC is that Lionel Messi has handed in a transfer request, at Barcelona.

Messi may be 33-years-of-age, but he still remains one of the best players on the planet.

At the moment there is confusion as to whether the Argentine international can leave the Nou Camp on a free transfer or whether that clause in his contract has expired and Barcelona will want a fee.

If it is the former, the golden question is whether Chelsea should make an approach for the player.

Although the salary Messi commands would be enormous, the prospects of the financial revenue streams that would open up to Chelsea would be enormous.
