Chelsea Linked With An Unlikely Approach For Top-Notch Premier League Keeper

|

If you believe the mainstream media, Chelsea still have concerns about the status of Kepa Arrizabalaga as their first-choice goalkeeper.

If that is the case, then it maybe comes as no surprise to read, in The Sun, that the club has been linked with the possible acquisition of another goalkeeper.

This time, according to our source, attention has turned to 23-year-old Dean Henderson.

Henderson, although registered as a Manchester United player, has spent the last two seasons on loan with Sheffield United.

A fine goalkeeper, Henderson is seen as the long-term replacement, at Old Trafford, for David de Gea.

However, any chance Chelsea may have had of signing Henderson may have diminished after another error-strewn display from de Gea, in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Friday evening.

Can I see any pursuit of Henderson coming to fruition?

To be honest, no.

Manchester United value Henderson too dearly and his path to their first-team could be set to open up next season, but, if Henderson were to latch on to the rumour that Chelsea are interested in him, could he force a move through?

It’s a thought!
