With the countdown to the transfer window well and truly on, an interesting piece of speculation has appeared this morning.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea could be looking towards the Bundesliga for a transfer window signing.

Our referenced source has put two and two together and is championing the suggestion that the Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal could be heading to Chelsea.

Vidal, who played under Antonio Conte at Juventus, is available for transfer and at 30-years-of-age, the inference is given that he`d still command a fee of £50 million.

Our source has been crafty in compiling this piece of speculation, using some quotes from Conte that read,

“I don`t speak about players from other teams.

“I must be honest, it’s not right to talk about a player of another team. Especially if you try to link this player with us.

“‘But Arturo is a fantastic player, I have a great respect for Arturo, and we spent many years in Juventus together.

“If we go to war, I`d always want him with me.”

What`s the verdict folks?

Could Turan be coming to Stamford Bridge or does that fee quoted combined with his age make it a big no-no?
