Chelsea Linked With Yet Another International Striker

|

Although the transfer window is closed until January, it doesn’t stop speculation emerging as to who Chelsea might be looking to when it comes to potential acquisitions.

Today, lurking in the pages of the popular Sunday tabloid, the Mirror, is the insinuation that Chelsea might be looking closer to home to bring in another striker.

Our source is of the opinion that the Fulham striker, Aleksandar Mitrovic, could be a genuine target.

The 23-year-old Serbian international has seen his career revived since joining Fulham, on loan back in January, before making a £22 million permanent move in the summer.

The Serbian has got off to an impressive start, with Fulham, in the Premier League, topping the scoring charts before our own Eden Hazard intervened with his stunning hat-trick against Cardiff City.

An old-fashioned kind of striker, Mitrovic is excellent at holding the ball up using his strong physique and is also excellent in the air.

Now, whether Fulham would be prepared to do a deal remains to be seen, personally I can’t see it being a deal they’d welcome, but, as we know, money often talks.

But, what are your thoughts on the possible acquisition of Mitrovic?
