Chelsea Make A Crucial Decision Relating To Four Players

|

With the 2019 / 2020 season on hold, with nobody having a clue just when it may resume again, everyone is in a state of limbo.

The current ‘lockdown’ situation we’re living under has made drastic changes to everyone’s lifestyle.

With the fixtures on hold, players are being forced to train alone, following a fitness plan compiled by the club.

But a quartet of players find themselves in a strange situation where their contracts expire at the end of the season, but nobody can predict exactly when that’ll be.

The four in question at Stamford Bridge are:

• Willian
• Olivier Giroud
• Pedro

and

• Willy Caballero

Now whether any of those will still be at Chelsea come to the start of the 2020 / 2021 season I’m not a party to.

And it seems, according to The Telegraph that Chelsea are unsure in which direction to progress with our referenced source implying the club have put all player contract talks on hold whilst awaiting guidance from the authorities relating to the resumption and subsequent conclusion of the current season.

Putting my head above the proverbial parapet, I’d suggest that of the four Pedro will leave, Caballero will get a new one-year deal, Giroud will leave and Willian remains the great unknown with the length of a renewed contract the current stumbling block.

But how do you see this one panning out when it comes to the named quartet?
