Here at Vital Chelsea, after the transfer ban was ended a year early, we are expecting Frank Lampard to reshape his Chelsea squad this summer.
Although we are expecting several new names to be added to the squad, we are also expecting some familiar faces to depart.
Earlier this month, media speculation, as covered by Vital Chelsea – prominent-chelsea-midfielder-could-be-sold-in-summer-shake-up – implied that Jorginho could be one of those set to depart.
Although the midfielder has been a mainstay of Lampard’s squad this season, speculation has been rife that the player could follow our former boss, Maurizio Sarri, and move to Juventus.
However, according to The Metro any such move is purely just speculation with Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, remarking on an Italian radio show:
“Juve are one of the top clubs in Europe, all players would like an experience there.
“But I didn’t hear from anyone, [Fabio] Paratici hasn’t call me.
‘Jorginho is currently a Chelsea player, has a three-year contract and is doing well in London.”
Indeed, he is.
This season he has made a far bigger impression than in his first season with us.
But, with the squad set to be changed this summer would you be happy for Jorginho to remain part of Frank Lampard’s plans?
