Chelsea Midfielder Set For January Move Claim

|

Competition for places in the Chelsea midfield is fierce.

With Jorginho and Kovacic having arrived at the club in the summer, the former on a permanent basis and the latter on a season-long loan spell, Maurizio Sarri appears to favour a midfield trio of Jorginho, Kante and Kovacic.

That leaves the likes of Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Ampadu and Fabregas looking to break the monopoly.

However, rumours are in circulation that the latter of those names, Fabregas, could be set to leave Stamford Bridge once the January transfer window closes.

According to the new source, the Express, the Milan duo of AC and Inter are set to vie for his services.

Fabregas, having recovered from a knee injury, has only been selected once this season, by Sarri, that occasion being the Community Shield fixture against Manchester City, at Wembley.

With his contract, at Stamford Bridge, expiring at the end of the season, either of the Milan clubs said to be interested in the player could pick him up for a bargain price.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we believe that the Spaniard is in the last stages of his Chelsea career and also that Sarri doesn’t plan to utilise his services on a regular basis. On that basis, January could see the Spaniard move on with seeing his career out, in Italy, being a viable option.
