As far as the rest of Europe is concerned, despite the Premier League transfer window being closed, the European window doesn’t slam shut until Monday evening.
With Chelsea unable to partake in any purchases for the next two transfer windows courtesy of the FIFA ban, we’ve only been able to operate in the selling and loan markets.
Today, it is being reported that another of the Chelsea squad is heading for another spell away from Stamford Bridge with it having been made clear that he doesn’t have a future with the club under the stewardship of Frank Lampard.
The player in question being our 25-year-old midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to The Sun, the Frenchman is set to re-join AS Monaco, the very club from which Chelsea signed the midfielder from back in 2017.
Although the deal will, initially, be a loan deal, it is expected that Bakayoko will return from whence he came for a fee of £31.8 million in the near future.
It may sound harsh but I’m probably not alone in suggesting he’ll not be missed having been a major disappointment since he signed on the dotted line for Chelsea Football Club.
