Chelsea Need To Make A Decision Over This Belgian Striker

|

This coming week could be a crucial one for the career of our Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi.

After scoring the goal that saw Chelsea crowned Premier League champions in the 2016 / 2017 season, during Antonio Conte’s first season in charge, the 24-year-old found, in Conte’s second season, the path to success wasn’t quite as smooth.

Once the January transfer window was open, the decision was taken to bring in Olivier Giroud from Arsenal and send Batshuayi out on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

With his loan spell in the Bundesliga now complete, Batshuayi is back at Chelsea pondering over what may lie ahead for him.

Yesterday, speculation appeared in the European media vehicle, Lequipe, that the striker was wanted by the La Liga side, Atletico Madrid.

Clearly, Chelsea have a big decision to make.

Do they stick with their expensive recruit and hope that he fulfils the potential he showed before the club bought him, or do they cut their losses and either send the player off on loan again or sell him?

If the decision was down to you, what would you do?
