Chelsea Need To Stump Up The Cash To Secure This Loan Deal

|

Is the possibility of Chelsea signing Philippe Coutinho one of those cases of where there is no smoke without fire?

Once again, as the transfer speculation starts to ramp up ahead of the resumption of the 2019 / 2020 season, the name of the Brazilian midfielder and Chelsea continue to appear in the same sentence.

Leading the way is The Daily Star which states that the 27-year-old is close to securing a loan deal to play in the Premier League for Chelsea next season.

But what would such a deal cost?

According to The Daily Mirror any such deal would cost Chelsea a £9 million loan fee which, we believe, doesn’t include the midfielders’ wages.

£9 million seems a lot of money but perhaps it is better to take the player on loan before committing to purchasing the player for the £71 million transfer fee Barcelona are after.

But what is your view on the ongoing situation?

Should Chelsea take Coutinho on loan before paying such a huge, especially in post-COVID-19 times, transfer fee?

The best option is to just sign him on a permant countract. It will be a good signning for us.

I Think We Dont Need Him Coz We Allready Have Mount, Zyech & Also Timo Both Can Play Same Role As Phelipe

Initially I was very interested in a Coutinho deal preferably on a permanent deal with reduced wages but with the moves we are purported making for Timo, Haavertz, and the joining of Ziyech, and the returning to fitness of Pulisic, Kante and RLC, I think we are ok in all attacking areas and there wont be a need to add Coutinho to the wage bill. Smart business would be to replaced players that are leaving if that happens. With the likes of Jorginho and Kante been eyed by Sarri and Conte respectively, I think our priority should be seeking a replacement for at least one of them and a very good replacement would be Thomas Partley of A. Madrid. I very solid player with both offensive and defensive nous and would cost less than Coutinho @ 45m only. I believe we should snatch him from Arsenal a la Willian style.
