Chelsea Offer Could Persuade Player To Stay At Stamford Bridge

|

Recuperating, after sustaining a ruptured Achilles tendon, Callum Hudson-Odoi will be having plenty of time to mull over his future.

Before suffering the injury, it seemed possible that the attraction of playing for Bayern Munich, in the Bundesliga, might see the 18-year-old winger leave Chelsea Football Club.

With his team reluctant to sign a new contract with Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi had always insisted it wasn’t about the club but more of a case of a lack of regular playing time.

However, having been granted more playing time, before the injury struck, there’s the possibility that the contract situation could be set to change.

According to the news source, Daily Mail, Chelsea plan to continue talks with the youngster and are also prepared to offer Callum the coveted number 10 shirt, soon to be vacated by Eden Hazard, with the Belgian international set for a move to Real Madrid.

Obviously, the ploy is inferring that Chelsea see Hudson-Odoi as the player to inject some much-needed flair into the side once the talented Hazard has departed.

Whether the ploy will work remains to be seen but sat here in the editorial chair I’m hopeful.
