Chelsea Offered World Class Striker For A Huge Transfer Fee

|

Has the world gone mad?

You may recall, a while back, Vital Chelsea reported on how Chelsea were being linked with a move for the Polish international striker, Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski, on the books of the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, has been a prolific scorer throughout his career and would be welcomed by the Chelsea support.

However, according to the German media source, Sportbild, it would seem that although the Bavarian club are willing to sell their star striker, they’ve put a price-tag on his head that will deter any club from making enquiries.

Our source is insinuating that Bayern Munich have offered the striker to ourselves, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but the transfer fee will be a mind-boggling £175 million.

Personally, I can’t see any club paying that much for somebody who will be thirty, on their next birthday.

The inflated fee is either a result of Bayern Munich not really wanting to part with Lewandowski or a belated knock-on effect from last summer when Neymar moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee.

Unfortunately, football hasn’t been the same since!
