As far as the midfield department, in the current Chelsea squad, goes, I’d suggest we have a group of players that could develop to be one of the most effective units in the Premier League.

Blessed with the likes of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, along with the emerging talent that is Billy Gilmour, you’d think Frank Lampard would be happy with his lot.

Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t!

However, transfer speculation appearing in the media this morning would imply it may be the latter with The Express, inferring that Chelsea have added the Ukrainian midfielder, Ruslan Malinovskyi, to their transfer wish-list once the FIFA enforced two-transfer window ban is finished.

Malinovski is 26-years-of-age and currently on the books of Atalanta, but, and here is the big question, would a deal for the Ukrainian international be something that gets your approval, or would we be better off sticking with what we’ve currently got?

  • Chelsea need a defender (or two), & also maybe a striker, as Giroud looks like he’s leaving.
Though Batshuayi DOES score goals, he’s ‘not near being a complete footballer’; he’s most unlikely to feature in any ‘flowing Chelsea move’ involving half a dozen impressive passes, resulting in a goal

  • i think the only thing chelsea need is zaha and and rudinger in the squid ,mildfield per now is very perfect having
    Jorgino and kante

  • Lampard is my all time favourite midfielder. I hope he see that we do not need any midfield reinforcements. In my opinion what we need is another central defender and a top striker to compliment Abraham. Our youth teams have been dominating both local and international. Wee need to use them now as they are coming of age. I wish this transfer ban lasts another 2 years. The current chelsea team is so exciting to watch, just needs a few tweaks here and there. Chelsea fan forever.

  • Chelsea need to find a young ‘John terry’ and a blood and guts striker! Bring back a Costa or a new Drogba!
