Prior to the weekend`s game against Brighton we ran our usual poll asking, who you thought would be the victor in the game.

Coming into it, Chelsea had been unable to score, however defensively they were sound. Brighton`s home record was good, so it was a tricky game to predict. As ever you were given three choices

⦁ Chelsea to win!
⦁ Brighton to win!
⦁ A Draw!

It turned out, that Chelsea`s inability to eek out a result had you all more wary of a Chelsea win than usual. Thankfully, it all turned out well. In first place was Chelsea to win!, however just 50% of you voted for that.

In what was a fairly low turnout at the polls, the remaining options shared the votes. Brighton to win! and A draw! both polled 25%

Following the game we ran our equally usual poll asking you to name the man you considered to have been the best player on the field. As ever we gave you the whole team to choose from. This one was not difficult to predict.

In first place and your MOTM?..was?…drum roll??Eden Hazard. Hazard scored two goals and 61% and was, at times, sublime in the game. His interplay with Willian and Batshuayi was fluid to say the least.

Only six players, picked up enough votes in this game to register a percentage, and not unsurprisingly, Willian was not one of them.

Moving on, in second place were Victor Moses and Charly Musonda who both picked up 14% of the votes cast. Both played well, but were they as good as Willian.

In fourth place was a player who has had his fair share of criticism this season, Tiemoue Bakayoko secured 7%, now we might be wrong here, but he didn`t score and he didn`t make an assist like Willian and he still beat the Brazilian.

Anyway, in fifth place was our goalkeeper Willy Caballero with 3% of the votes. Now, here`s something we can agree on. Willy had a great game, and made some crucial saves. He fully deserves his 3%.

The last player to get anything in the poll was Michy Batshuayi with 1% of the vote. The likeable Belgian played well, he held up the ball and allowed others to play. His deft back heel for Willian goal was superb. In that combination, we`d like to see more Michy Batshuayi.

But come on guys, what does Willian have to do.
