Chelsea Put Scots To The Sword in Demolition Job

|

Last night, with the international break having seen the 2018 / 2019 Premier League season put on hold temporarily, I tuned in to watch the international between Scotland and Belgium.

Of course, my decision was influenced by the chance to watch Eden Hazard in action again.

The game didn’t disappoint me, and it also provided an added bonus.

Belgium were far too good for the gallant Scottish side and ran out very worthy 4-0 winners.

Eden, playing with the swagger he’s already shown this season, put Belgium 2-0 up early in the second half, adding to the opening goal scored by a former Chelsea player, Romelu Lukaku.

But, the added bonus was seeing Michy Batshuayi in action.

The young striker, out of favour at Stamford Bridge and on loan to the Spanish club, Valencia, scored a brace to wrap the game for the visitors.

Belgium, with Hazard in such sublime form, continue to look to be a force in international football and provided a very enjoyable evening of entertainment.
