Chelsea`s search for top-notch talent to bolster the squad may have been boosted this week.

On mainland Europe, Barcelona are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for the Brazilian midfielder, Paulinho, having plucked the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder from the Chinese Super League, for a fee of ?40 million.

However, Sky Sports, have picked up on a snippet of information from the news source Sport, suggesting that Paulinho`s imminent arrival could see a midfielder currently on the books of Barcelona, leave.

Our sources are reporting that Sergi Roberto feels the acquisition of Paulinho is another sign that the club don`t trust him.

Continuing, it appears that the 25-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract of a mere ?40 million.

However, it seems Chelsea are not the only club interested in acquiring the player with Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan all getting a mention.
