Chelsea Scupper Batshuayi To Spurs Deal On Transfer Deadline Day

|

On deadline day, it seems that common sense prevailed.

With our North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, looking to bolster their attack, with Harry Kane injured, it appears that the North London club made an approach to sign Michy Batshuayi on loan.

However, according to the news source, Sky Sports, Chelsea were having none of it.

Relationships between the two clubs have been, how you might say, a little tetchy in recent years.

With that being the case, it seems that Chelsea asked Tottenham Hotspur for a loan fee far bigger than they were touting around other clubs, thereby stalling any further approach.

As we all know, a loan deal to take Batshuayi, to Crystal Palace, was sealed just after midnight.

The perfect outcome we’d say, common sense tells us that dealing with a top-four side when it comes to matters like this, is a big no, especially when it just happens to be that lot from N17!
