Chelsea Set To Land Much Lauded Midfielder After Unveiling A Cunning Plan

|

Speculation, this morning, suggests that Chelsea may have stolen a march on the other Premier League clubs looking to sign the talented Aston Villa player, Jack Grealish.

The 22-year-old is widely tipped to leave Villa Park this summer as the Championship club contemplate streamlining their financial situation.

Although Aston Villa value the player at around the £40 million mark, the news source, Teamtalk, are implying that Chelsea may be set to strike a deal, said to be of the magnitude of £30 million for the player.

Seemingly, Chelsea are willing to sign the player this summer but allow Grealish to remain at his beloved Aston Villa for a further twelve months before finally coming to Stamford Bridge.

If that is the case, Chelsea’s approach could see the ambitions of Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle quashed.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we applaud the move for the 22-year-old who showcased his skills in the recent Championship Play-Off Final, against Fulham, at Wembley. His direct running, allied with his superb close control of the ball, would give Chelsea something extra in the middle of the park. The fee quoted, £30 million, is also realistic considering his age and ambition and is on a par with fees Chelsea paid out last season.

Now whether the deal can be completed remains to be seen, but here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll keep an eye open and report back further if the need arises.
