Chelsea Stalwart Linked With A Move To Arsenal Of All Places

It has been muted that, come the opening of the January transfer window, Gary Cahill could be allowed to leave Chelsea Football Club.

This morning an interesting piece of transfer speculation has emerged relating to our loyal centre-back who has won every domestic honour there is to win with the club.

According to the tabloid publication, the Mirror Cahill could be headed for the bright lights of North London and a move to Arsenal.

According to our referenced source, Unai Emery is looking to bring in an experienced centre-back after being hit with injuries, to his squad, in that area of the park.

However, we should point out that Cahill isn’t the only experienced defender Emery is looking at with Eric Baily (Manchester United) and Fernando Calero (Real Valladolid) also getting a mention.

But, at 32-years-of-age, it would appear to be a dream swansong move for the former England international.

In finishing this article though, we’d like your opinions on the potential move.

Would you agree with Chelsea agreeing, if it were to happen, allowing Cahill to follow in the footsteps of Petr Cech or would you be against it?
