Chelsea Star States His Terms For Remaining a Blue

|

Failing to qualify for the 2018 / 2019 Champions League was a bitter blow for Chelsea Football Club.

As well as the loss of a huge financial revenue stream, it has also seen questions asked relating to whether certain players will remain at Stamford Bridge next season or seek to move on.

One such player is our jewel-in-the-crown Eden Hazard.

Speculation has been rife that the 27-year-old Belgian has been offered a new deal, said to be worth a cool £300,000 a week, but it also appears that pen has not been put to paper yet.

According to the popular tabloid publication the Sun Eden wants to see what happen this close season and is looking for the club to show its intentions in the summer transfer market.

Hazard is quoted, by our source, as having remarked,

“I’m taking my time. I’m waiting for new players next season. We will see.

“I want players, I want to win the Premier League next season… a lot of things.

“It is something big, so I will need to think of a lot of things.”

Eden’s remarks may cause consternation amongst the Chelsea support, but our opinion, as given below, suggests he has a case.

VITAL VIEW – As we continue to mull over what has been a poor season, Hazard is well aware that Chelsea have fallen behind some teams in the Premier League. With the Belgian approaching the prime period of his career, he can probably afford to miss one season of Champions League football, but, if the club doesn’t bring in the kind of players that will see Chelsea resume their position as one of the giants of English football, then Hazard knows the writing is on the wall.

Exciting times are ahead for Chelsea Football Club especially with the promise of a new stadium, but whether or not Hazard remains part of the future legacy of our club will depend on who the hierarchy can persuade to join the club this summer.

If I had to put my head above the parapet, I’d suggest this Saturday could be Hazard’s last time in our familiar blue shirt!
