Chelsea Striker Confirms He’s Going Nowhere

This summer, numerous column inches have appeared in the media inferring that our Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata, could be leaving Chelsea Football Club.

With the new season now just a week away, the striker has confirmed that he isn’t looking to leave the club and wants to remain a Chelsea player.

The news source, the Evening Standard carries some quotes attributed to the player who scored 15 times in 48 appearances last season, with the quotes reading:

“On the first day of pre-season I spoke to Marina Granovskaia and with the manager and I said: ‘I want to stay at Chelsea’.

“They told me: ‘We have a lot of confidence in you and we want you to stay too.’ So everything was perfect.”

In fact, rumours of a move away from London due to the striker being unhappy with life in England, couldn’t be further from the truth with Morata further adding;

“All the people said I wanted to leave, that I was not happy in London but it’s not true. Now I have taken another house, a bigger one, near to Cobham.

“My wife is very happy. When everyone is talking about the possibility to leave I am here looking for a house.”

In another piece of news relating to Morata, it appears that he has ditched the number 9 shirt and taken the number 29 shirt:

Although we’re not sure the Martial bit has any relevance at the moment.

Hopefully, wearing the number 29 shirt will see Morata’s confidence improve, our fears that wearing the #9 shirt was starting to see him affected with the curse that has blighted so many others was starting to influence our thinking.
