In January, I’m pretty certain that as well as bringing in a few players, there will also be a few players leaving the club.

One of those that, in my opinion, looks destined for the exit is our French striker Olivier Giroud.

The 33-year-old striker has found first-team football hard to come by this season with Frank Lampard preferring to use Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.

At 33-years-of-age, Giroud knows he needs regular first-team football and his satiation, according to the Italian news source, lastampa.it, appears to have alerted Juventus.

Our referenced source is inferring that Maurizio Sarri, who knows all about Giroud after his season in charge of Chelsea, is keen on signing the player.

Now, whilst the deal may seem a dream one for Giroud, playing for Juventus during the swansong years of his career, perhaps he should ponder over exactly how much regular first-team football he’d get with the Serie A title winners.

I suspect it might not be much more than he’s currently getting!
