Earlier this week, here at Vital Chelsea, we covered the emerging transfer speculation linking Christian Pulisic with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Our article, Click Here, cheekily implied that given the choice of either joining Chelsea or Liverpool, there really was no choice.

Unfortunately, according to speculation that has emerged today, it appears that may have been a poor judgement call.

Lurking in the news source, the Liverpool Echo, is the insinuation that the 20-year-old USA international, is keener on joining Liverpool than Chelsea.

Apparently, Pulisic is of the opinion that the Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, is the type of manager all players dream of playing for.

Quite why escapes me!

I can only surmise it’s a Borussia Dortmund thing with Klopp having, previously, been in charge there and Pulisic currently on the books there.

But, in the world of transfers, never assume anything, things can change pretty quickly and sat here in the Vital Chelsea editorial chair, I’ll keep a watchful eye out for any developments and report back as deemed appropriate.

  • Personally I believe Martial will be a better singing for Chelsea than Pulisic if Martial could be available for almost the same amount of £70m.
We can get Martial,Dembele&Icardi for £230m and we can get rid of Morata,Willien,Pedro,Moses for £130m or even more…
So spending £100m to have HAZARD,DEMBELE,MARTIAL,MUSONDA,HUDSON-ODOI,ICARDI,BATCHUAIYI,ABRAHAM competing for three positions in the front line is not a bad business

  • I wouldn’t give you my old wellies for Morata – he’s retained as much value as a VHS, or a Sony Discman. Willian has good market value but less than two years on his contract. Pedro and Moses aren’t going to command the fees to make the 130mill you speak of.
