Ahead of the fixture, at Molineux, against Wolverhampton Wanderers, we ran our usual poll whereby we ask you to predict the outcome of the game.
The result, now revealed, shows that there was an unusual element of hesitancy when it came to predicting a Chelsea win, perhaps based on our stuttering recent form which has, in the Premier League, seen us win 1, draw 1 and lose 1.
With the three usual options listed, only a mere 45% were of the opinion that Chelsea would win, did they know something we didn’t?
Furthermore, a further 25% predicted that the best we’d manage was a draw, on reflection that result would have been preferred to the one we got last night.
As for the remainder of the votes cast, 30%, they went for a victory for Wolverhampton Wanderers even though their form had been awful entering the fixture, let’s hope they made a few quid down at the bookmakers.
Next up, this weekend, is a huge fixture against Manchester City, can Chelsea upset the apple-cart and become the first side to beat Manchester City in the Premier League this season?
