Chelsea`s hopes of persuading Alvaro Morata to come to Stamford Bridge, look to be fading fast.

Transfer tittle-tattle arriving our way from mainland Europe and courtesy of the Italian media vehicle, Calciomercato, suggests that Alvaro is set to turn down a move to the English Premier League in favour of a move to Serie A.

As for a destination in Serie A, according to our source, look no further than the Italian giants of AC Milan.

Perhaps the crunch though when it comes to Morata opting for Serie A is the fact our source is suggesting that AC Milan will offer the striker an annual salary of ?10 million which will make him the highest paid player in Serie A.

If our source has its information correct, then the list of potential forwards on the Chelsea wish-list is diminishing even further.

  • Probably because of the TV money but yeah they are getting him for 29 million less , and they are getting Belotti also , at this point it’s looking like Batman and Remy will be leading the line next season

  • I learnt we offered ?9million a year wage. Gone are the days when Chelsea will spend silly on any player.
