It`s hard to grasp that in a season whereby the games have come thick and fast, our fixture programme, although it is only 23 March, has come to an end for this month.

Of course, it`s all down to the perceived necessity for the international sides to gain further momentum ahead of the forthcoming World Cup, in Russia.

But, looking ahead, what does the month of April have in store for Chelsea Football Club?

Well, the fixture list is as below:

Sunday 1st April – Premier League – 16:00 hours – Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur

What a way to start the month, going up against one of our rivals for a top-our place and a Champions League spot for next season, can Chelsea rise to the occasion?

Sunday 8th April – Premier League – 16:30 hours – Chelsea v West Ham United

A second consecutive London derby with Chelsea welcoming a relegation threatened West Ham to Stamford Bridge, can Chelsea put a nail in the Hammers coffin?

Saturday 14th April – Premier League – 12:30 hours – Southampton v Chelsea

A trip to the South Coast and an encounter with our FA Cup semi-final opponents, A Wembley dress rehearsal.

Thursday 19th April – Premier League – 19:45 hours – Burnley v Chelsea

Somebody is having a laugh here, a matter of days before our FA Cup semi-final against Southampton and they`re sending us on a Thursday night trip to Turf Moor. You couldn`t make it up, could you?

Sunday 22nd April – FA Cup semi-final – 15:00 hours – Chelsea v Southampton

An FA Cup semi-final, a place in the final at stake, as Chelsea compete for the only piece of silverware they can win this season, will Chelsea be able to rise to the occasion and do the un-saintly thing and end Southampton`s cup dream?

Saturday 28th April – Premier League – 17:30 hours – Swansea City

The month finishes with a European excursion, a trip to South Wales, will a Champions League place still be up for grabs? Will the chase be on for an FA Cup Final ticket? Only time will tell.

But what are your hopes and fears for April?

Please share them in our comments facility beneath this article.

  • I hope no fears ahead of next month.as long as conte uses the right tactics, i don’t see anyone stopping us from getting the maximum point from our league matches and making it to the final of the fa cup.
