Chelsea Urged To Re-Sign One That Got Away

|

Occasionally, when it comes to the transfer market, especially the selling market, mistakes are made when it comes to letting players go.

Let’s take the case of Nathan Ake.

The Dutch defender always looked as if, given the chance, he’d make the grade at Stamford Bridge.

But the key part of that sentence above is given the chance.

Despite looking a hot prospect, Ake was never really given the chance to get that extended run in the side his promise deserved.

As a result, he was sold to another Premier League club, Bournemouth.

Since moving to the south coast, Ake has flourished and shown that faith many had in his talent wasn’t misplaced.

But, as a result, envious eyes are being cast towards the south coast with, according to Sky Sports, the Chelsea scout, Piet de Visser, urging the club to re-sign the 24-year-old.

On paper, Chelsea look as if they have the centre of the defence well covered with the likes of Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger available, so is there room at Stamford Bridge for Nathan Ake and at what price?
