After playing on Thursday night in the Europa League, Chelsea don’t take to the field of play again until Monday night, when they welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge for a Premier League fixture.

The brief respite during what has been a busy period of fixtures should allow those who are frequent starters to get the rest they require.

Chelsea enter the fixture on Monday night knowing they still have a more than decent chance of a top-four finish thereby qualifying for the Champions League next season, but there is the chance they could be distracted by the possibility of an appearance in the Europa League final, if they can get past the challenge presented by Eintracht Frankfurt, in the semi-finals.

On Thursday, in the same competition, against Slavia Prague, Maurizio Sarri surprised quite a few with his team selection, most notably starting with Kovacic and resting Jorginho and also relegating the impressive Hudson-Odoi to the bench.

With that in mind, it is getting slightly trickier to second-guess the Italian when it comes to naming a starting eleven but that is exactly what we want you to do.

Simply drop your predicted starting eleven into the comment facility beneath this article and we’ll see who gets the closest.

  • C.Palace & Everton did us a favour, we squandered the same right away …fu*k Sarri & Sarri-ball

  • THis is our season in a nut shell we have had yet another chance to finish top four and yet again mess up we just can’t defend and second half they just got behind ball and we can’t break them down if hazard does leave and the transfer embargo stays for two windows and sarri stays it’s goung to be bleak next year if we finish 10th it will be an achievement

  • You get what you deserve with this shit sari ball nonsense, probably Thursday night football next season again. Hazard’s gone, he’s done his bit & good luck to him surrounded by these numpties.

  • Amazing how we screw up time & again after other top-4 contenders generously give us a chance …. But this time I think it’s done for qualifying via the EPL. All our eggs in the Europa League basket now …. Sigh
