Tonight, Chelsea put aside their Premier League commitments and aspirations to participate in the EFL Cup.

In a third round tie Nottingham Forest are the opposition for Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the tie, we`ve cobbled together some very early team-news.

Starting with Chelsea:

Antonio Conte is set to give Eden Hazard his first start, for Chelsea, of the season, with the Belgian now having fully recovered from the fractured ankle he sustained, in the summer, whilst at a Belgian international training camp.

It is also suspected that, with a tough Premier League fixture away to Stoke City this weekend, Antonio will rotate his squad possibly giving starts to Michy Batshuayi, Kenedy and young Charly Musonda.

David Luiz is out of contention after receiving a straight red-card in the Premier League fixture against Arsenal, on Sunday, whilst Danny Drinkwater and Pedro are not being considered for selection due to calf and leg injuries respectively.

Continuing with Nottingham Forest:

Mark Warburton, the Forest boss, could include David Vaughan in his squad, the midfielder has recovered from a groin injury.

Also added to the Forest squad are Eric Lichaj, a defender, and Mustapha Carayol, a winger.

It promises to be a decent tie tonight, at Stamford Bridge, let`s hope Chelsea emerge victorious.
