Chelsea`s last game of the year 2017 sees them welcome Stoke City to Stamford Bridge, on Saturday, for a Premier League fixture.

It`s a game Chelsea should win, but we`ve learned never to take anything for granted in this wonderful game of ours.

Ahead of the fixture we`ve cobbled together some early team-news.

Starting with Chelsea:

Thankfully, after a hectic schedule, Chelsea have no new injury concerns.

Andreas Christensen missed the victory over Brighton in midweek, through illness, but the Danish centre-back is expected to reclaim his place in the starting eleven for this one.

David Luiz is officially declared as injured, but there could be a touch of the Virgil van Dijk`s about this one with Chelsea not wanting to risk the Brazilian getting injured with the January transfer window set to open shortly.

With Arsenal (h), looming large on the horizon, Antonio Conte could rotate his squad for this game.

Continuing with Stoke City:

Mark Hughes brings his squad to West London with something of an injury crisis amongst the defensive element of his squad.

Out injured are Ryan Shawcross, Bruno Martins Indi and the former Chelsea player, Glen Johnson.

Throw into the mix the fact that Kurt Zouma can`t play against his parent club and it`s easy to see why Hughes has his concerns.
