Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – Predict The Starting XI

|

After losing the Carabao Cup in such devastating circumstances, after more than matching Manchester City in what was an enjoyable occasion, Chelsea return to Premier League action, this Wednesday, when they face Tottenham Hotspur, at Stamford Bridge.

If you needed a fixture to act as a quick pick-me-up then you couldn’t have asked for a better one what with the intense rivalry that exists between the two clubs.

When it comes to recent Premier League fixtures between the two clubs, Tottenham Hotspur currently have the edge, but Chelsea will point to the last meeting between the two sides where they won a taut Carabao Cup semi-final, albeit courtesy of a penalty shoot-out.

But, with fixtures coming thick and fast at this stage of the season, who will Maurizio Sarri turn to when it comes to his starting eleven?

Will the Italian who, despite losing at Wembley, appears to have a better long-term grip on his job, stay loyal to those who performed so admirably at Wembley or will there be several changes?

Perhaps the most interesting question relates to the green jersey if as Sarri explained after the Wembley loss it was all a misunderstanding, we expect Kepa to be between the sticks, however, if he’s missing perhaps the young Spaniard has been censured.

As usual, we’re asking you to second-guess the starting eleven Maurizio Sarri will select.

Simply drop your predicted starting eleven into the comment facility beneath this article and we’ll see who gets the closest or, indeed, spot-on!
