This afternoon, at the Cobham facility, Antonio Conte held his pre-math press conference ahead of the encounter, on Sunday, with Manchester United.

After the expletive laden conference ahead of the previous Premier League game, against Everton, it was a far more relaxed affair.

Firstly, Conte remarked about the situation regarding N`Golo Kante rehabilitation from his hamstring injury, that a decision will be taken on Saturday as to whether the Frenchman faces Manchester United on Sunday.

Conte was then asked whether Chelsea could still win the Premier League, with the boss replying,

‘Now there are big problems for all the teams that want to fight for the title. The big problem is Manchester City.

‘If City continue in this way…it will be difficult to fight for the title.

‘We have to try to do our best.”

The questioning then switched to the subject of being under pressure, with Conte offering a laugh before replying,

‘I feel always the same pressure. Before the game I feel the pressure to win. Last season was the same. When you’re on top of the table you feel the pressure. I always feel the same.

‘This is important because I’m a passionate man with great enthusiasm and I need to feel this type of pressure. I like it. I was born with the pressure.’

And as for Chelsea`s opponents this Sunday, Manchester United, the boss commented,

‘We are talking about a strong team, physically, and this type of game will be very difficult.

‘They’re an important team and we must play great attention to them. We are preparing in the right way.

‘Whether you play against United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham. I think it’s always a big game. I think this type of game must excite the players to play in a fantastic atmosphere and to know a lot of people will watch the game around the world.’

The interrogation, sorry questioning, then turned to the subject of the Chelsea youngsters Tammy Abraham and Reuben Loftus-Cheek being called up for international duty an inquisitive journalist asking,

‘Tammy Abraham and Reuben Loftus-Cheek were called up for England this week. That must mean it’s good for the future and good news for you…if you’re still here.’

A question that saw Conte laugh before remarking,

‘These players are heading in the right direction and it’s important for them to play regularly, to show they are ready to be Chelsea’s players.

‘The pressure is totally different when you’re a team fighting in the relegation zone than for something important.’

All that remains now is to get those three points on offer Chelsea!
