Chelsea v Vidi – Europa League – Match Day Moments

|

Tonight, Stamford Bridge hosts its first Europa League fixture of the 2018 / 2019 season when Chelsea welcome the Hungarian side, Vidi.

The Europa League may be the poor cousin when it comes to European competition but there is the enticement of a place in the Champions League, next season, for the side that wins it.

With Chelsea having failed to qualify for the Champions League this season and with a very competitive Premier League only providing four places, the Europa League might just be taken more seriously than many would previously have contemplated.

Chelsea, after winning their opening fixture in the group, know a win tonight will put them in a good place to progress to the next stages of the competition.

As is the norm, here at Vital Chelsea, we’re running our regular Match Day Moments feature whereby we encourage you to leave your views, in our comments facility, on a variety of subjects, including, but not limited to:

1 – The build-up to the game.

2 – The starting eleven selected by Maurizio Sarri.

3 – The action as it takes place down at Stamford Bridge.

4 – Your thoughts after the final whistle has signalled the conclusion of the game.

Hopefully, it’ll be the Chelsea support that are all smiles come the final whistle.

Up the Chels!
