Chelsea Youngster Hands In Transfer Request In Order To Force A Move Through Before The Transfer Window Shuts

|

With a matter of days to go before the January transfer window slams firmly shut, it appears that Callum Hudson-Odoi is hell-bent on getting his desired move away from Stamford Bridge.

According to the tabloid news source, the Mirror, Hudson-Odoi has handed in a transfer request.

Naturally, here at Vital Chelsea, we find that news a little upsetting, we did have hopes that Hudson-Odoi could be persuaded to stay.

But, although some may suggest that it’s all money-related, that, in all honesty, isn’t true, the 18-year-old is intent on leaving Chelsea in order to get more first-team football.

However, although Bayern Munich is seen as his most likely destination, the news vehicle, the Daily Mail, are reporting that there is another Bundesliga club keen to sign the player, with our referenced source inferring that RB Leipzig are set to enter the race to sign the winger.

Perhaps the biggest indication that Hudson-Odoi is leaving Chelsea before the transfer window closes could come this evening.

Chelsea are due to entertain Sheffield Wednesday, in a FA Cup 4th round tie, it is the kind of fixture that we’d expect Hudson-Odoi to play in if he doesn’t then perhaps Chelsea are looking towards a sale and don’t want to run the risk of the youngster picking up an injury.

Although perhaps a little harsh, our view, here at Vital Chelsea, is that if a player doesn’t wish to play for the club then no matter who he is he should be moved on.
