This season, Mount has been playing in Dutch football with Vitesse Arnheim and has impressed immensely.

In fact, his performances have been such that the tabloid publication, the Sun are reporting that several European clubs, said to include Ajax, PSV, Werder Bremen and Sporting Lisbon are all interested in striking a deal with Chelsea for the creative midfielder.

However, Chelsea view Mason as a star of the future and are very unlikely to sanction the sale of the player who was part of the England U19 side that won the European U19 Championship last summer.

Our source also goes on to say that Chelsea, in order to safeguard the youngsters future at the club, have considered promoting him to the first-team squad.

But, Chelsea are realistic enough to know that Mount’s continued progression requires regular first-team football, something the above may not provide.
