Chelsea’s Injury Problems Mount Up As International Break Looms

|

It’s fair to say that Chelsea haven’t made the start they’d like to have made to the 2019 / 2020 season.

A tally of 5 points from the 12 available has left Chelsea supporters pondering just how this season will pan out.

However, perhaps one influencing factor with regards to the poor start has been the number of injuries Frank Lampard has had to deal with.

Already this season, Frank has had to do without some very influential players with Antonio Rudiger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Reece James all not being available for selection.

Add to that the fact that N’Golo Kante has been in and out of the side as he too struggles to retain full fitness and you can see the picture emerging.

Unfortunately, it is being reported today, by the Metro that another player, Mateo Kovacic, has joined those in the treatment room.

According to our source, the Croatian midfielder, who has impressed in the games he’s played, has picked up an injury serious enough for him to withdraw from the Croatia squad for the forthcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Here’s hoping that when the sojourn for international football is over, the injury situation, at the club, will have improved dramatically.
