Chelsea’s Interest In A Summer Transfer Window Target Re-Surfaces

|

The last time the subject of Declan Rice becoming a Chelsea player was discussed on this site, it was intertwined with the possible resulting departure of a midfield favourite.

Our article – chelseas-january-scenario-one-big-name-in-and-one-big-name-out – discussed the possibility of N’Golo Kante leaving and the West Ham United star arriving.

Today, talk of Rice becoming a Chelsea player, in the January transfer window, has been resurrected by The Daily Star, which champions the dilemma the 21-year-old England star faces.

After a good start to the season, our referenced source suggests that West Ham United are looking at rewarding Rice with a new contract which would double his current salary of £60,000 a week.

Aware of Chelsea’s interest, Rice must decide whether his future lies in East or West London.

Does he remain with the club where he made his name, or does he return to the club who released him in his younger days?

I have my view of what the probable outcome of this saga will be but how do you think this one will end?

Rice or no Rice, Chelsea need a defensive midfielder who is physical and good on the ball…. An enforcer….

The club should find this person where ever he is… And bring him…… In the next transfer window.
