With Merlin reporting this morning that Alex Sandro could be on his way to Stamford Bridge during this January`s transfer window. News is filtering out that there could be a possible move in the opposite direction.

According to various outlets including The Daily Mirror, not only are Italian giants Juventus, looking to sell out-of-form Sandro, they are keen to get Luiz in as a replacement for their centre-back Leonardo Bonucci who joined AC Milan in the summer.

in theory, it looks like the perfect deal for Chelsea and something for Marina Granovskaia to really get her teeth stuck into. She`ll be able to bargain hard on an incoming and outgoing transfer at the same time. It`s a double move that will suit all parties, although it could get stuck in an ‘my player is better than your player` loop.

However, a cash plus player deal could appeal to Juventus. It`ll mean no outlay and a few Euros in the bank, for Chelsea it will mean less cash to splash. It really is a win-win situation. Luiz and Conte have barely seen eye to eye since Conte`s text gate issues with Diego Costa.

That animosity came to a head in the two games against Roma in the Champions League that saw the Brazilian eventually substituted. His reaction and poor attitude after didn`t go down well with his manager.

He`s barely featured since and is currently suffering problems with knee. Conte has said that there are no problems between himself and Luiz, but he would, wouldn`t he.

With Andreas Christensen looking comfortable in the centre of the centre back positions, Luiz leaving could easily be managed. If he can`t get on with Conte, he`s better off gone, bringing in Sandro gives much better options of the left hand side of the field.

If he does leave, it will be sad for the supporters and I would imagine his fellow players. He appears a likeable character and good to have around the dressing room, but if it proves the manager has more control mat the club than the players, then that can surely only be a good thing. As ever with these situations, it`s very much a case of watch this space.
