With the football season over and another league championship in the bag for Chelsea, the Independent have been looking at how the Blues could line up next season.

In goal, they have Tibo, winner of the golden gloves last term. Can`t argue with that one. The three centre backs are David Luiz, Gary Cahill, and Southampton`s Virgil Van Dijk, tapped up favourite of media darlings Liverpool. There appears to be no place in the line-up for Cesar ‘Dave` Azpilicueta though. Not sure that`s right.

Wing-backs stay the same with Victor Moses and the underrated Marcus Alonso. After a series of loans I was pleased Moses had a relatively good season, Cup Final blip aside. Going forward I think we can do better though. Dave could maybe slot in there. Alonso can stay for me, he chipped in with a few goals and did little wrong.

Midfield generals are N`golo Kante and Monaco`s Tiemoue Bakayoko, it could well prove a good partnership, the jury`s out though. Attacking midfielders are Riyad Mahraz from Leicester City on the right and Eden Hazard on the left. I think that could work, Mahrez could hopefully revive his career after under-performing as a league champion last season.

Up front, they`ve got our old friend Romelu Lukaku, with his Luiz-esque ‘unfinished business`. Not really sure about this one. I certainly don`t consider him to be worth the ridiculous amounts being quoted in transfer fees. I would like to think that playing in a better team than Everton, would see him up his game, particularly against the bigger teams. He was always touted as a direct replacement for Didier, let’s hope his ‘unfinished business’ see’s him fill those really big boots.
