|

Yesterday, with the January transfer window having slammed shut, we suggested that Chelsea, with regards to Callum Hudson-Odoi, were only delaying the inevitable.

Our article Click Here, suggested that whilst Bayern Munich had opted not to continue their pursuit of the talented teenager this transfer window, it was far from the end of the matter.

Our fears appear to be well founded with the tabloid publication, the Sun, running with the suggestion, this morning, Bayern Munich are set to increase their bid for the 18-year-old to a colossal £45 million, such is their keenness to land a player they view as a star of the next generation.

Since Bayern Munich temporarily halted their chase for Hudson-Odoi, the player has been given just 13 minutes of first-team playing time, hardly the kind of experience that is going to convince him that his future really does lie at Stamford Bridge.

To us, here at Vital Chelsea, it remains to be seen whether £45 million will push the deal through or whether Chelsea will force Bayern Munich to pay just that little bit more.
