Whilst Chelsea were away in the Far East, it was expected that the futures of our two want-away stars, Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic would be sorted out.

In fact, I`m of the belief that Antonio Conte would have liked to return from Singapore, early next week, with both gone, thereby eliminating that uneasy feeling of having them around the place.

But it seems that won`t be the case.

From what we understand, Diego Costa`s preferred move back to Atletico Madrid is being seriously hampered by the Spanish clubs inbound transfer ban, Italy is now being touted as a possible destination for the Brazilian born Spanish international.

As for Matic, the Italian version of Sky, Sky Italia are reporting that Juventus have curtailed any ambitions of signing the Serbian international, switching their attentions to the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Blaise Matuidi, thereby making Manchester United still the most likely destination for the player.

But, whilst uncertainty still exists relating to the futures of Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic, one things certain, Chelsea should not drop the asking price just to get rid of the duo!
