The fickleness with which managers are treated in the modern game is highlighted by the recent treatment of somebody who cut his coaching teeth down at our Cobham facility.

Yesterday Paul Clement was sacked by Derby County.

Having worked alongside Carlo Ancelotti for several years, learning the trade, Clement made a more tan decent start at the iPro Stadium.

At Christmas, Derby County were top of the Championship and it was looking as if promotion back to the Premier League was on the cards.

However, a downturn in form, whereby Derby County have not won or seven league games and have slipped down the table alarmingly, caused those who run Derby County Football Cub to swing the axe.

With Carlo Ancelotti set to take over at Bayern Munich, when Pep Guardiola leaves come the end of the season, will Clement team up with the Italian at the Allianz Arena?

Personally, I wouldn`t bet against it, how about you?
