Come On Chelsea, Admit It, It’s A Done Deal

|

The King is dead long live the King, well something like that!

You just knew something was going to happen as soon as it was announced by the BBC, that Frank Lampard had been excused from returning to pre-season training with Derby County in order to conclude talks with Chelsea Football Club about the vacant managerial role.

Now those talks could have gone either way, they could have reached a satisfactory conclusion, or they could have ended in disappointment.

Thankfully, according to the Daily Mail, it looks very much as if it is the former with talks reaching a satisfactory conclusion with the Chelsea legend having agreed a £4 million-a-year deal which includes a bonus if Frank guides Chelsea to a Champions League place next season.

For Chelsea, it is great news and here at Vital Chelsea, we cannot wait until the official announcement is made.

However, we must thank Derby County for the classy way in which they’ve gone about things whilst also applauding the club for continuing to give, unexpected, talent a chance to flourish in the managerial arena with it now being reported by the Telegraph, that the former Dutch international, Phillip Cocu, could be the next occupant of the managerial office at Pride Park.

Suddenly, things are, on the Chelsea front, looking excitable, King Frank is (almost) back!
