Now back in the UK, Chelsea, under the guidance of Antonio Conte, will be getting ready for the Community Shield fixture against Arsenal, this Sunday.

After losing the FA Cup Final to the Gunners, Conte will be looking for revenge and also looking to grab the first piece of silverware on offer this season.

However, Chelsea go into the fixture on the back of two successive losses, out in Singapore, losing 3-2 Bayern Munich and 2-1 to Inter Milan.

By some strange quirk the only game we did win on the Far East Tour was in Beijing, China, against Arsenal, when the Blues romped to a 3-0 win.

But what does Antonio Conte think about the state of his squad, as they prepare for the Community Shield?

Well it would appear that he believes the squad are burnt-out with the gaffer remarking to the media,

“My players are very tired because they played three games in seven days in high temperatures and humidity.

“Players are always the same, they will be tired. It is important to come back to London and rest.

“Against Arsenal some young players will be on the bench.”

It seems Conte and his team will have to strike that delicate balance between work, rest and play this week.
