On this Christmas Day, I hope everyone who is celebrating is making the most of precious family time. Happy Christmas.

On the footballing front, tomorrow, Chelsea have a home tie against Premier League newbies Brighton & Hove Albion. Despite countless goal attempts against Everton at the weekend, the Blues couldn`t buy a goal.

The return of Alvaro Morata will, hopefully give added impetus to Chelsea`s sterile attack. Once again though, they`re coming up against a British manager, in Chris Hughton. It`s something that`s been a bit of an achilles heel for Chelsea and one they must overcome.

As Antonio Conte looks to make his selections, he`s likely to return to a 3-5-2 formation with Morata back in the starting XI.

Returning to the back Thibaut Courtois will once again be first name on the team sheet. With games coming in quick succession, in the three man defence Gary Cahill could resume his captain`s role on the left side. Andreas Christensen has more or less made the central defensive position his own and will be joined by Mr. Reliable Cesar Azpilicueta.

In the centre of midfield Cesc Fabregas generally plays in a five-man-set-up. Alongside him N`golo Kante will likely feature on one side and Danny Drinkwater the other.

In the league the favoured wingbacks are Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses. Joining Morata up front has to be Eden Hazard, such is his potential influence on the game it`s very difficult to put his name on the team sheet.

Chelsea need a return to winning ways having dropped two points up at Everton, the league title may be gone but second place is still a possibility. The added incentive of getting one over Jose and Nemanja Matic should be the only incentive the Chelsea team need.
