Lurking in the pages of one news vehicle this weekend was the insinuation that AC Milan were interested in appointing Antonio Conte as their new boss.
With the British tabloid press, seemingly, heading a campaign to force Conte out of his position at Stamford Bridge, the chance to return to Italy might well have appealed to Antonio.
However, it appears that jumping ship is the last thing on his mind.
Comments appearing in the news source, Express and picked up from Sky Sports Italia, have Conte remarking about the reputed AC Milan offer,
“Milan? Leave it out.
“We`re trying to stay concentrated, because it`s a tough run from here to the end of the season.
“I am only concentrated on Chelsea and purely want to do what is best for Chelsea.”
Which is precisely what we wanted to hear is it not!
But, no doubt, the rumour-mill will continue to suggest Conte`s future is away from Stamford Bridge, will it not!
