This summer, when it comes to strengthening the squad, should be an interesting period.

With Antonio Conte set to lead an assault on the Champions League next season, the squad depth needs increasing.

Already, as you may have noticed if you are a regular visitor to this site, we`ve published a plethora of articles relating to players the media have linked with Chelsea, some may come, others inevitably will not.

Today though, with the transfer speculation cranking up, the good folk of the Mirror are suggesting that Antonio has identified his two summer transfer priorities.

The two players the boss wishes to bring to Stamford Bridge this summer, according to our source, are the 25-year-old Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and the 23-year-old Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

Both will be costly additions but are they the two priority signings you envisaged, or would you prefer to opt for two others?
