The last few weeks have seen Antonio Conte looking like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. It`s been hard to watch, but today`s press conference has seen the Italian, not only crack a smile, but break into a fit of laughter..
So, what was the question that started the hilarity. Well it`s just another episode in the Diego Costa saga. Conte was simply asked his opinion about the fact that Costa believed he was being treated like a ‘criminal` and he had to return to Atletico Madrid. Further questioning followed and Conte was asked ‘if Costa were to return to Chelsea, got fit and ready for team selection, would he be picked.` Conte was adamant he would not.
As for Costa, himself, he has been in the gym, on the treadmill, happily running along in his Chelsea shorts. Costa has said he won`t be coming back to Chelsea and as Sky Sports report he`s been pleading with Chelsea to drop the price they are willing to sell him to Atletico for.
There really is only one reaction to the ridiculous way Diego Costa is handling this whole transfer situation and Antonio Conte has pretty much nailed it.
